| Can Augmented Reality Technologies Foster a Creative Classroom? | Hi Amalina, great post about Augmented Reality and its potential for use in the classroom, this is really comprehensive! I like that you mentioned the capacity for students to be both users and designers of AR, because while it’s great for teachers to use AR to present information (the UCLA sandbox video was really interesting), there isn’t much creativity on the part of the student, so I found your discussion of how students can design AR experiences within different KLAs to be very useful. Additionally, I think it’s really important that you mentioned teacher self-efficacy as a factor in the pedagogical implementation, as I feel like this is a barrier to fostering creativity with ICT that can be overcome with the task that we are currently completing (research and experimentation of emerging technologies)! |

Design Thinking – Programming with Scratch: Designing to Satisfy the Creative Itch |
Hi Jason – I agree that Scratch is a great tool in fostering design thinking in students because of the flexibility and wide range of media you listed (e.g. games, animations etc.) I’m interested in your thoughts on how to teach using the program – i.e. should you storyboard and plan on other programs first or jump straight into Scratch and make revisions as you move through the design cycle? |

| Robotics | Hi Angus – As a primary education student, I found your discussion, of the affordances of the BeeBot and the Sphero to be used across the curriculum and the types of skills they teach, insightful. Both of the robots you mentioned primarily involved programming and were appropriate for primary school – do you think there is any space for students at this age to construct and design with robotics or do you think it should just be kept to programming and play? |

Also, I’m glad to see that there are already so many useful, interesting tools available in your field. | Week 7: Virtual Reality Oculus Go | Hi Nathan, I agree with your point about VR bridging the gap between content such as the lives of historical figures and students today. I think that the ability to immerse yourself into a simulation of what life might’ve been like for people of the past has great benefits in empathy and perspective-taking. I’m interested in your thoughts about students as designers of virtual worlds and how this may be taught. |

I agree with your point about maintaining the balance between entertainment and educational value as I think this line gets crossed quite often.
